Welcome to the G.O.READY Feasibility Survey

Please answer the survey on a wide screen, like a desktop, laptop, or tablet; not a smartphone.

Thank you for participating in this research. We are currently conducting a six-month initiative (January–June 2026) to strengthen GÉANT’s capacity to develop, manage, and sustain the open source software (OSS) that underpins Europe’s research and education digital infrastructure.

As GÉANT’s reliance on open source technologies grows, so does the need for structured governance, consistent practices, and sustainable collaboration models. This survey is to establish a clear picture of current open source maturity and available support within the GÉANT community.

Purpose of the Research

Your feedback will directly inform:

  • Baseline Assessment: Establishing a realistic view of GÉANT’s current open source practices.

  • Gap Analysis: Identifying areas of existing support and need for additional support.

  • Strategic Roadmap: Defining a phased, pragmatic plan for expanding open source support at GÉANT.

Confidentiality & Participation

  • Voluntary: Your participation is entirely voluntary, and you may withdraw at any time.

  • Data Handling: All data collected will be hosted on the Open Ireland Network (OIN) LimeSurvey instance. Final published results will be anonymised. Data is handled in accordance with GDPR and professional research standards.
